Import PPPoker hands into Hand2Note

MobileHH saves the PPPoker hands you play on your Android phone as PokerStars-format hand histories, and Hand2Note imports them, including 5 and 6 card Omaha, bomb pots and run it twice. No emulator or PC client.

1. Set MobileHH to PokerStars text

During setup, MobileHH asks for a format: choose PokerStars text. Already set up? Change it in the app's Settings. Hands already saved are written again in the new format.

2. Get the folder onto your PC

MobileHH saves hand histories to a folder on your phone that you pick during setup. Hand2Note needs that folder on your PC, so sync it:

  • Syncthing (free): syncs the phone folder straight to a folder on your PC over your own network, with no cloud account. Install it on both, share the MobileHH folder from the phone, and accept it on the PC.
  • Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive: their Android apps don't sync a folder on their own, so add a sync app such as FolderSync or Autosync to upload the MobileHH folder. The Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive desktop app then brings it to your PC.

Note the folder's location on your PC: that's the one you add to Hand2Note next. A path with only English letters avoids import problems in some trackers.

3. Add the folder to Hand2Note

  1. In Hand2Note, open Configuration → Auto Import.
  2. Click Add auto-import folder and choose the synced MobileHH folder on your PC.
  3. Hand2Note imports what's there now, then new hands as they arrive.

If you've set an archive folder, Hand2Note moves imported files out of the folder. With a sync that works both ways, that removes them from the phone too. Nothing is lost: MobileHH keeps every hand, and Settings → Export all hands again writes them out once more.

4. Check it works

Play a hand in PPPoker with capture on. Once the folder syncs, the hand appears in Hand2Note. The table name starts with PPPoker.

Good to know

  • Hand2Note lists the hands under PokerStars, because that's the format it reads. If you also play on PokerStars, keep PPPoker hands in a separate database so the results and player stats don't mix.
  • Every game MobileHH exports works: Hold'em, Omaha with 4, 5 or 6 cards, bomb pots, double board, run it twice, straddles, Pineapple (as Hold'em with your two kept cards) and tournaments.
  • Only hands you're dealt into are saved. Tables you only watch are never kept.
